Growing up in Dorchester, Massachusetts, Bob exhibited artistic talent early on. Despite being awarded a scholarship to the MFA school, he was strongly urged to join his father's woodworking business.Bob eventually founded his own business, where for several years, woodworking was a reliable source of income, as well as his full time outlet for creativity and self expression.
Bob is self taught, and through a combination of instinct and experimentation, has learned to work with color, shading, inventive forms and dimension to create pieces with remarkable depth and refinement. His study of fractal geometry and universal energy have been the strongest influences on his work. Some of Bob's paintings are explorations of his own spiritual evolution. Other pieces celebrate sacred geometry and its consistent presence in nature's architecture. Bob's collection of acrylic on canvas works beckon us to understand the connection between humanity and our environment and to invite the viewer to examine one's own journey to higher consciousness.
